Common Questions
Repairs, rentals, hours, and walk-ins, the quick answers are right here. If you don't see yours, just give me a call. For anything repair related, that's always the fastest way to reach me.
Still have a question?
For repair timing and quotes, a call is always best. Give me a ring and I'll walk you through it.
(403) 874-5637What's the best way to set up a repair?
Just give me a call. For anything repair related, the phone is the best way to reach me. I can tell you what I'm likely looking at, roughly what it'll run you, and the best time to bring your bike down. I'd rather talk it through with you than have you guessing.
Can I just walk in with my bike?
Depends on the time of year. Summers get hectic and I usually can't take walk-in repairs, so do me a favour and call first. Winters are a lot quieter, so you're welcome to roll up and drop your bike off whenever. When in doubt, a quick call saves you the trip.
Will my repair be done the same day?
Usually not, no. If it's something quick like a flat, I can often turn it around fast. But most repairs take longer than a day, and a full overhaul takes real time, especially in summer when I'm backed up. I'll always give you an honest timeline up front, and I'll never do work beyond what you asked for without calling you first.
How much does a repair cost?
It really depends on the bike and what it needs, so I don't quote a flat rate up front. Text me a photo of your bike with a quick note on what's wrong, or give me a call, and I'll give you a straight answer on what it'll run you and roughly how long it'll take.
Do I need to book a rental in advance?
You don't have to, but it helps. Reserve a bike online and I'll have it ready for you, or just walk up whenever I've got bikes free. On a busy summer day, booking ahead is the surest way to get the one you want.
What's included with a bike rental?
Every rental comes with a helmet and a lock, no extra charge. Anyone under 18 has to wear a helmet here in Alberta, and honestly I'd put one on you either way. I'll make sure it fits right before you head out.
What do I need to rent a bike?
Just a signed waiver and a refundable deposit. You can sign the waiver online before you come down, or do it here when you pick up your bike, whichever is easier for you.
What are your hours?
I'm open Monday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The hours shift around a little with the seasons, so if you're making a special trip, give me a quick call first to be safe.
Where are you located?
Right on the Bow River pathway at 355 8 St SW, just southeast of the Louise Bridge. Look for the painted shipping containers bolted together, you really can't miss us.
